Washington State Travel Guide
Washington State is a land of contrasts. The high mountains of the Cascade Range run north-south, bisecting the state.
Western Washington (west of the Cascades) is Puget Sound, Olympic Peninsula, and Pacific Coast Regions.
The Pacific Coast offers long stretches of beaches and mountain peaks, Puget Sound's many islands are served by the largest ferry fleet in the United States, and the deep forests of the Olympic Peninsula are among the only temperate rainforest's in the continental United States. Eastern Washington (east of the Cascade's) is notable for a relatively dry climate. The fertile farmland of Yakima Valley, Wenatchee Valley and Walla Walla Valley, are known as Washington's wine country.  For further information on Washington State's cities, towns, tourist attractions and popular destinations, visit our Washington State.mobi homepage, select the link titled Cities and Towns, for a comprehensive list w/links to our city and town .mobi sites.
